Project management (NCSL)

Leadership Pathways programme delivery including

Browser check (NCSL)

A tool to diagnose technical problems with browser set-up, specifically checking required plug ins and multimedia capabilities. Operates in self-diagnostic mode and also in helpdesk mode. In helpdesk mode, when a user calls helpdesk to report a technical fault the system generates a unique ID to track the issue to resolution. Contains a number of help resources to assist. Enabled NCSL to improve systems technically and resolve queries effectively up-front.

SIPs web application (NCSL)

Design, development and delivery of SIPs web application to support school improvement partners programme for NCSL. The tool includes the ability to

  • register to participate on the programme
  • complete an assessment online
  • allow assessors to complete assessments online
  • track participant progress on face-to-face events on the programme
  • send data to government recruitment portal via web services

E-Learning guidelines (NCSL)

Standards document used for ensuring high quality and consistency when commissioning e-learning units.

E-Learning Units (Capital One UK)

A range of e-learning units which were delivered to UK staff including training on Standards of Associate Conduct, Compliance, Money Laundering and the importance of brand.

Underpinning these units was an application which I built in Flash MX to provide the framework for the content to be delivered in. This is an extensible menu and template system which provides: standard navigational elements, hierarchical tree of contents, set-up of units via external XML files (pages, segments, scores), tracking of progress and status using SCORM 1.2

Search Portal (Capital One UK)

I developed a portal comprising of a Search Engine and a Search management console.

The Search Engine was required to deliver fast results to call centre operatives when delaying with customer queries. It was used by over 2000 call centre operatives in UK and India call centres to locate financial procedures and policies.

The Search management console has numerous functions including

  • displays reports and metrics using database records and charting functionality. The reports are used by knowledge managers to measure the effectiveness of the service.
  • enabled users to schedule a "reindex" (database refresh)
  • track and record search errors via reports and track and highlight popular search requests and return them to the users.
  • email service to enable people to register for monthly statistics bulletins and customize the content that was delivered.

Learning Zone online (Capital One UK)

learning zoneA Intranet tool to administer the Learning Resource Centre, which contained resources (books, CD's, manuals) for employees to support personal development. The online system provided the following functions:

  • ability to search for and reserve items
  • create own account to keep records of past activity
  • recommend and/or add comments to resources (community)
  • fully administered on-line
  • report on activity, resource shortage and late returns.

One Fine Pay Productions
Wedding video specialist needed a simple, navigable site that was eye catching and appealing to a female audience. Site contains a slide show of images taken from actual wedding footage, and a demo video delivered in Flash format.
